Underwood, Turner to Tour Together
Carrie Underwood will be hitting the road this Spring with opening act Josh Turner. Underwood said of the outing:
I’m so excited to be hitting the road and doing the full show of my music that I have always dreamt of doing. I have been so fortunate to learn from so many other great artists while touring with them, and they have inspired me in so many ways. They have helped me to get to this stage of my first real headline shows, and now I finally feel ready. I can’t wait to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada and see all my fans.
It’s a bit of odd pairing if you ask me. I’m not sure how many of Underwood’s middle school fans ever think to themselves “You know ‘Before He Cheats’ is great, but I sure would like to hear more Civil War-inspired love songs and George Jones covers.” Then again, they won’t mind staring at him and screaming. Hopefully Turner can teach Underwood how to pick out good material for her album. For that we would all be indebted to him.

i would like to know if yall will be touring in the central Tx area.—I live in Gatesvill,Tx close to Waco, austin,hill country–etc. I would love to go to the concert. thanks——ricktp

I don’t think it’s an odd pairing at all. Both are young, hot, new country stars. I’m also in middle school and I wouldn’t have a problem singing along with his songs…. both Josh and Carrie are awesome! And to stand up for us middle school country fans (yes, there are quite a few of us left in the world) we don’t just stare and scream at male singers, we actually care about their music too!

i saw them a couple months ago & they were both awesome!! i kinda knew he’d be. it’s kinda hard not to have that voice & he’s easy to look at by all means. carrie on the other hand gave me the shock of my life, for real….that girl is hot shit on stage. i couldve done w/out all the costume changes, but that’ll come w/age. shes still playing dress-up. but…..she covered guns & roses november rain “like a rock star”. i left their a much bigger fan. she looks & sounds as good as her cd’s & thats not always the case!! the tickets were free, but next time, i’d pay no problem!!
